Work was completed on the new £3,200,000 Lime Tree Student Refectory Fit Out at Bath University in the summer of 2014.
 

Working with principle main contractor Laing O’Rourke and our client, Shine Food Machinery, Make By Design were responsible for the design engineering, supply and installation of all laminate wall cladding finishes located within the student refectory.

The project involved two major challenges for us which we design engineered prior to installation; the first being a 45 degree stainless steel flash gap which was to be rebated and set into each laminate panel where there was mitred edges or where joints abut one another.

The second challenge was the shear size of some of the boards which required secret fixing at high level to soffits and fascias. Both challenges were overcome successfully within our time limit.
