Richard Doll Building,

Oxford University

Make By Design were appointed by the University of Oxford to design, manufacture and install the fixed joinery package for the refurbishment of the reception, atrium, café and external courtyard at the Richard Doll building in Oxford.

The design featured solid oak timber slats which were specially colour matched to co-ordinate with Havwoods flooring. The reception counter was manufactured using curved oak slats as well as powder coated black metal.

The project had many challenges to overcome due to the complexity of the design, especially the curved oak reception desk but as you can see, the finished result looks superb.

Works were completed early 2020.
