Building D7,

Dyson, Malmesbury

Make By Design have completed the bespoke joinery package at Dyson’s newly refurbished D7 building at Dyson HQ in Malmesbury, Wiltshire for Wates Construction in December 2017..

 

Working closely with both main contractor, Wates Construction, and Architect, Wilkinson Eyre, Make By Design aided in designing and developing both a working door/ ironmongery schedule and the bespoke 65m long Birch Plywood storage wall. Drawing on our extensive experience working with the client on their previous expansion development in D9 (the Lighting Café and the Hanger Building) Make By Design were able to swiftly and resolutely execute our contract works in the 12 week programme period.

 

Our works here included:

 

  • Production of development and design for manufacture drawings for 65m Bespoke Birch Plywood Storage wall.

  • Manufacture and installation of 65m Bespoke Birch Plywood Storage

  • Manufacture and installation of bespoke plywood teapoint complete with back painted glass splashbacks, integrated LED soffit lighting, stainless steel kickplinths, granite worktops and integrated fridge.

  • Supply and installation of magnetic wipe-able thinking wall

  • Supply and installation of new acoustic wall absorbers located within the 65m storage wall

  • Development of working door and ironmongery schedule

  • Installation of new door sets

  • Supply and installation of new Allgood door furniture as per the developed ironmongery schedule

  • Supply and installation of new IPS washrooms and accessible WC’s and showers

  • Installation of Doc M furniture to accessible WC’s

  • Supply and installation of all mirrors to new washrooms and accessible WC’s
